The Hostage Prince Is Hard to Tame: My Lord Chancellor, Please Behave

[Two male leads + court intrigue + love and rivalry + obsessive, sweet-on-the-outside, dark-on-the-inside characters]

[Ruthless, unhinged regent gong × stunning, sickly, calculating hostage shou]

Xiao Jingxian, the Seventh Prince of Southern Chu, has a face that could bring a kingdom to ruin, but he is also frail and useless. He is sent to an enemy state as a hostage.

Everyone can bully him, except for Xie Wuwang, the powerful regent who forcibly confines him in his manor “for surveillance.”

The world says Xie Wuwang is cold and heartless, and is sure to torment the hostage from a fallen kingdom.

Little do they know that in the dead of night, the man they call the Living Yama has red eyes as he humbly coaxes the person in his arms to take his medicine.

Xie Wuwang thinks he has raised a tame caged bird, until one day the frail hostage fires a stunning arrow and steps on his shoulder to ascend the throne.

In the great hall, Xiao Jingxian swings the golden chain in his hand and smiles gently, but dangerously. “The regent once wanted to keep me chained up. Now it’s my turn to chain you up.”

Xie Wuwang bows his head, happy to be at his majesty’s feet. “Your Majesty may keep me chained for as long as you wish.”
