After I Awakened Mind Reading, I Stopped Playing Both Sides

In this world of beastfolk and shared wives, I awakened the ability to read minds.

Every morning before heading out, I give my two merfolk brothers at home a good-morning kiss.

When I kiss the older brother, Gu Shen, he knits his brows and wipes his face with disgust.

But I hear his thoughts: [This is so annoying. She reeks of poverty. When can I finally get a divorce?]

When I kiss the younger brother, Gu Yuan, he stays expressionless and even coldly pushes me away.

But inside, he's screaming: [Aaaah, my wife kissed me! Her lips are so soft! She smells so good today, too! What do I do? My tail's about to stick straight up!]

Gu Shen treats my kisses like garbage, while Gu Yuan silently touches his face, his ears turning red.

It suddenly occurs to me that if someone doesn't like my good-morning kisses, there's no need to keep giving them.

So the next morning,

I walk right past Gu Shen, cup Gu Yuan's face in my hands, and plant a big kiss on him.

Gu Shen's face instantly turns black as the bottom of a pot, and his thoughts thunder in my ears:

[Why didn't she kiss me? What gives her the right not to kiss me?!]
