To Give His Nephew Practice, My Husband Locked Our Son in the Furnace Room

Just because his nephew dreamed of becoming a firefighter, Pei Wang locked my son and me in a burning room to use us as practice targets. Holding my severely burned son, I pounded on the door and begged him to let us out. He only scolded me impatiently.

"It's just a little smoke. The props your sister-in-law prepared herself can't hurt you, can they?"

"You've spoiled our son. He's not nearly as well-behaved and obedient as Lele."

Three days later, after returning from a vacation with his sister-in-law and nephew, he finally remembered our son.

"The last practice went pretty well. Let our son rehearse with Lele one more time."

But he didn't know that our son had already burned to a corpse, dead in my arms.
