NBA: The Shepherd

In 2007, Chen Jianghe, a mysterious 26-year-old Chinese billionaire, shook the entire NBA by spending two billion dollars to buy the Lakers. No one knew that this young man, who claimed to come from a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, was actually a transmigrator from the future, with every timeline after 2007 mapped out in his mind. At the signing press conference, in front of the American media, he called the Trail Blazers’ general manager. “Pick anyone on the roster except Roy, and I’ll trade you for Oden’s draft rights.” Kobe threw his remote at the TV. What came next was even more outrageous. He used a lost Daoist breathing technique to correct Oden’s shooting mechanics, giving the “Emperor” a new lease on life. He traded future draft picks for Durant, then told the skinny teenager, “In five years, he’ll help you win a championship,” bringing tears to his eyes. Westbrook, Harden, and Leonard soon followed, and a “Shepherd System” capable of rewriting basketball history quietly took shape. When LeBron ended his career without a championship, and the Celtics’ Big Three, the Spurs’ GDP, and the Warriors dynasty were all swept away by the butterfly effect, people finally understood: he wasn’t managing a team. He was rewriting history. This is the epic tale of a shepherd herding a band of obsessives onto the right pasture. And when Kobe told him, “I just want to be your Kobe,” the mysterious billionaire from China finally showed the world that a true golden finger was never foreknowledge of the future, but the ability to change fate.
