Rule Horror: I Survive and Slaughter My Way Through Terror

At 22, newly graduated Lin Mo is job hunting late at night when he accidentally falls through a rift between worlds and is dragged into a horror game governed by rules. Every instance hides deadly rules. Break one and you die: the three knocks at midnight in an apartment building, the shadow in the mirror that moves in sync with you, a fake plea for help from someone pretending to be a familiar face. Death is always close at hand. “Don’t lock the door from the inside.” “Stay silent when silence is required.” “Trust no one who asks for help.” The ten rules are both shackles and a path to survival. With almost obsessive composure, Lin Mo holds the line and never breaks the rules. He uses shards of broken mirrors to resist mental contamination and sound-dampening charms to block deadly noises, narrowly escaping death while surrounded by the uncanny. From an F-rank abandoned hospital to an E-rank midnight apartment building, he solves paradoxes in the rules, turns the uncanny against itself, unlocks resistance to the uncanny and the ability to anticipate danger, and collects powerful items. Step by step, he grows from prey forced to hide into a hunter who takes the initiative and breaks the game. When an A-rank evaluation earns him an invitation to become an “Advanced Survivor Candidate,” he faces the ultimate challenge of a D-rank instance. Only then does Lin Mo discover that the horror world is merely an experimental ground left by an ancient civilization. Behind the balance between rules and chaos lies a secret that could decide the survival of two worlds. Hunting the uncanny, breaking the rules, and building a team, Lin Mo wields rules as his blade and strength as his shield. He vows to fight his way through every instance, uncover the truth of the world, and become the ultimate guardian of both worlds!
