The Mortal World as the Way

He is a living Buddha, compassionate toward all, yet he fell for me.

A misunderstanding turned me into his “trial of worldly desire.”

He traded his kasaya for Tibetan robes, and together we faced doubt and hardship.

He sees the suffering of the world as a path to spiritual cultivation, practicing boundless compassion by serving others.

And I am the deepest love in his heart, the place he can call home as he walks among the people.

“I love all beings with a Buddha's heart, but with an ordinary heart, I love only you.”

This is a forbidden romance, and an enduring legend about turning personal love into boundless compassion and cultivating mercy together in the world.
