Rekindling 1997

Lin Wanqing is reborn in 1997, right in the middle of her wedding.

Her husband, who had lived off her while acting like he was doing her a favor in their previous life, is exchanging flirtatious looks with her best friend.

She tears up the marriage agreement on the spot, dumps the scumbag, and heads straight for Shenzhen!

Along the way, she saves Gu Yunshen, the wealthy young heir to a Hong Kong business family, from a plot against him.

They hit it off, marry by contract, and start a business together.

From a tiny shop in Huaqiangbei to a trillion-yuan tech empire.

Her scumbag ex and his mistress beg for forgiveness? Mrs. Gu is busy ringing the opening bell. She has no time for that.

Everyone thinks this marriage is just a deal where each gets what they want.

That is, until the night of the financial crisis, when Gu Yunshen shields her from every storm, his eyes red as he tells her, “Wanqing, don’t be afraid. I’m here.”

Only then does she realize that this marriage, born of a twist of fate, is the most astute investment she has made since being reborn.
