The Ghost Gate Disciple of Bashan

While writing this book, I looked through the diary my grandfather left behind. It described the black snow that fell on Bashan in 1972: “The snow was as dark as ink, and the sky hung low, ready to fall.” Supernatural tales from the countryside of Sichuan have always been hidden among the everyday necessities of life.
