My Fair Princess Sequel: The Blood Swallow Behind the Vermilion Wall

When the fairy tale of My Fair Princess came to an end, the fangs of the imperial palace finally showed themselves.

Xiao Yanzi entered the palace with an innocent faith in love, only to face her husband's betrayal, her mother-in-law's deadly schemes, and a sister whose loyalty had turned to resentment. After losing her child in a miscarriage and learning that her family's blood feud had been covered up, she finally understood: in this man-eating Forbidden City, tears are useless. Only blood can wash away blood.

Yongqi chose power over love and personally cast her into hell. Ziwei sank deeper and deeper between self-interest and loyalty, until she wasted away and died. And Xiao Yanzi, once a cheerful, innocent girl from the common folk, became a careful schemer who even stained her hands with blood for revenge.

When the flames consumed Yan Zi Tower, all love and hatred turned to ashes. He spent the rest of his life in remorse, while she found release in death.

This is more than a struggle for survival among women in the imperial palace. It is the story of an idealist utterly crushed by feudal imperial power. A subversive retelling of a classic, continued in a dark new direction. Watch innocence die and deep love turn to heartbreak. Under the murderous crush of power, can anyone still hold on to who they were at the beginning?
