Rule Horror: Journey to the West

In the 21st century, young Tang Yu is transported into Journey to the West after a car accident. But he discovers that this world has been corrupted by the “Source of Rules.” The Heavenly Dao is collapsing, immortals and Buddhas are turning monstrous, and every being must obey explicit or hidden rules. Yet the rules often contradict one another. Breaking them can lead to anything from mutation to eternal damnation. The Eighty-One Tribulations from the original story have now become eighty-one heart-stopping survival games governed by rules. Protagonist: Tang Yu (Xuanzang), armed with a modern mindset and a phone with a mysteriously behaving battery, becomes the sole variable in this eerie pilgrimage to the West. He must survive in the narrow gaps between the rules while searching for the truth behind the Source of Rules.
