Who killed my rose
——When loving you becomes my indefensible evidence
The person I loved died in front of me, and everyone, including myself, believed I was the murderer.
"I'm back, but my roses have withered."
The talented new director Zhou Jin wakes up after a car accident and his world is turned upside down. He discovered that his beloved lover, Ling Qinghong, an inspiring singer-songwriter, had passed away in despair on a rainy night. And all the evidence, all the public opinion, and even the bloody diary left by Ling Qinghong point to the same truth: it was Zhou Jin's years of indifference, belittling, public humiliation, and mental torture that finally drove him to death.
Zhou Jin collapsed. Because he "remembered" that those things were not his doing.
"I stood in the face of the murderer and cried the tears of the victim."
There are strange gaps in memory. Zhou Jin was horrified to discover that a traveler from another world named "Pei Li" had lived in his body. Pei Li took over his body and regarded his treasured lover Ling Qinghong as the perfect tool to complete "system tasks" and collect "despair points". Those fatal injuries were all done to Zhou Jin's face and by Zhou Jin's hands.
As for the real Zhou Jin, as a bystander soul trapped in the body, he could only watch his beloved being crushed by "himself" bit by bit until he withered.
"Justice that is delayed is not justice, it is delayed."
How can he prove to the world that the murderer is the invisible "ghost"? How can I carry the murderer's body on my back to pay homage to the rose that I "killed"?
