A Love Story of Promises Beneath the Cherry Blossoms

In a quiet town, a devastating fire suddenly breaks out and quickly spreads to the cherry tree at the town center. Everyone believes the tree, revered as sacred, is doomed. Chen Yuze and Chen Xueying stand beneath it and pray devoutly. In an instant, a miracle occurs: a spring gushes from the trunk and extinguishes the flames. Afterward, the cherry tree thrives more than ever, and they know their duty to protect it is far from over.

Though the tree brings the town closer together and residents volunteer to care for it, doubts soon arise. Some argue that the so-called “miracle” was only a coincidence and that the town should rely on science to develop. Facing these divisions, Chen Yuze and Chen Xueying take action: they organize campaigns to raise fire-safety awareness, consult experts on sensible planning, and propose an eco-tourism project that will benefit both the economy and the environment. Undeterred by difficulties, they stay true to their purpose through their busy days, growing from people who once panicked at every setback into people willing to take responsibility. In the end, the first Cherry Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival is a success and wins widespread approval. At the closing ceremony, Chen Xueying delivers a speech expressing her convictions and calling on everyone to move forward together. After the festival, the two stroll beneath the starry sky and gaze at the cherry tree, certain that as long as they hold on to their beliefs, they can keep moving forward with resolve, whatever the future brings. Together, they will continue writing the story of the tree and the town, passing on its beauty and hope.
