Father, Stop Competing! Your Son Only Wants to Go to Beiping and Rule His Fief

[Historical Fantasy + Eavesdropping on Inner Thoughts + The Lazy Prince's Comeback + A Loving Father and Filial Son]

I transmigrated to the tenth year of the Hongwu era of the Ming dynasty and became Zhu Di, the fourth imperial son, who just wanted to eat, drink, and wait for death. I was also bound to the Lazy Prince's Fiefdom System: as long as I avoided overtime and stayed out of trouble, I could lie back and collect rewards!

At the morning court, Zhu Yuanzhang was worrying himself sick over a drought. On the surface, I was deferential: “Father, Your Majesty is wise. Your son is a fool.” In my head, I was ranting: [What an idiot! Plant potatoes and sweet potatoes, and a harvest of ten thousand jin per acre is no dream! No wonder you're worried, if you can't even think of that!] Zhu Yuanzhang: “??? Fourth Son, I'm giving you a hundred thousand mu of wasteland. Grow those crops for me at once!”

The Northern Yuan army was at the border, and the ministers were scared out of their wits. I clasped my hands and pleaded: “Your son can't even kill a chicken. I dare not lead an expedition.” In my thoughts, I was gloating: [I've got three thousand Snow Dragon Cavalry at my command. Sweeping the Northern Desert royal court would be as easy as drinking water! Too bad it'd be exhausting. Can't be bothered~] Zhu Yuanzhang: “??? Fourth Son, I'm giving you the military seal. Don't come back until you've wiped out Northern Yuan!”

I broke down: “Dad! I just want to go to Beiping and be a lazy prince!” Zhu Yuanzhang clapped me on the shoulder, grinning with all his teeth. “Good son, if you don't take the crown prince's position, who will?”
