My Traps Are Just a Little Too Powerful

He wakes to find the world transformed into a primeval jungle. A majestic voice announces the start of an apocalyptic tower-defense game. Zombies charge, monsters are everywhere, and humanity is forced to defend its cities with its life.

Su Chen awakens an SSS-rank talent: War Lord. Trap purchases cost half price, his level permanently increases by one, and he can even fuse traps to create unknown wonders! While others sell everything they own to afford a level-six electric wall, he casually sets up a level-seven “Quantum Chaos Web,” then watches zombies dance in the current. While other players still have little puppies for battle pets, he fuses one into an adorable, ferocious beast of unknown level.

From the start, he has only a shabby rooftop measuring fifty square meters. He lays traps while keeping a low profile, then cheerfully collects materials. He explores ruins and meets teammates with wildly different personalities; he braves secret realms and claims epic artifacts. While defending the city, he can eat instant noodles and give calm orders: “Electric wall on the left, charm trap on the right. What are you spacing out for, air-defense tower? Shoot down those planes!” But when it's time to act, he kills without hesitation, rising from a rooftop to the main city, and from a small-time boss to the ruler of a vassal state.

When a terrifying beast tide reaches the city gates and players around the globe tremble in fear, Su Chen looks at his map covered in fused traps and his battle-pet army, eager for a fight behind him, then scratches his head. “Um... I just want to ask, can I get a discount on materials after this fight?”

This is a king's path paved with traps, brimming with comedy and fiery action.
