The Fierce ’80s Housewife: I Have a Psychiatric Diagnosis, and I’m on a Rampage

[Period setting + unhinged comedy + indiscriminate attacks + getting rich]

After being reborn, Wang Shuhua discovers that whenever she’s treated unfairly, her hands shake, her heart races, and she wants to kill someone.

The doctor says it’s “post-traumatic stress disorder,” commonly known as “can’t take being wronged without going crazy.”

Well, isn’t that just a royal license to kill?

When her unfilial son, Zhao Limin, says, “Mom, lend me some money,”

Wang Shuhua rolls her eyes and grabs a broom. “Ah! Fire! A huge fire! You’re all trying to burn me alive!” She lays into him, then walks away without consequences. After all, I’m a “patient.”

When her scheming daughter-in-law says, “Mom, why won’t you do my laundry?”

Wang Shuhua’s shaking hand splashes her with boiling water. “Oh dear, I can’t control this hand of mine! Did you get scalded? Serves you right!”

Riding on her “intermittent insanity,” Wang Shuhua rules the factory compound. She not only puts her awful children in their place but also reports the factory’s embezzlers, then takes over a workshop with her husband and becomes the “mad billionaire” everyone fears.
