Fooled While Searching for Her Husband? She Marries a Childless Officer and Has Triplets

Su Ruanruan, a sweet young woman from the south, travels thousands of miles to the northern frontier for love, only to discover that her fiancé is a good-for-nothing who ran off with her betrothal gifts and got another woman pregnant! On a freezing night, with the temperature at minus thirty, she faints by the roadside in the snow and wind. Lu Zhanbei, the whole military district’s fiercest, wildest “Living Yama,” takes her home.

Lu Zhanbei is 192 centimeters tall, still single at thirty, and a top-ranking officer rumored to have been declared “incapable of having children.”

He means to toss this little nuisance out. She’s not even as thick as his arm. But burning with fever and barely conscious, she clutches his sturdy calf and cries, “Daddy.” That one word throws the rough soldier’s heart into complete disarray. From then on, the Living Yama has a little darling by his side. He carries her everywhere, feeds her at mealtimes, and soothes her to sleep.

When the scumbag ex regrets everything and begs to get back together, Lu Zhanbei slams his gun on the table. “She’s my wife. How dare you lay a finger on her?”

Later, just as the whole military district wonders how Colonel Lu will deal with his “little nuisance,” news arrives that Su Ruanruan is pregnant with triplets.

That night, Lu Zhanbei kneels on a washboard with his petite wife in his arms, his voice hoarse. “Good girl, does your back still ache, sweetheart?”
