One Deadly Scheme a Day, and the Empress Calls Me the Living Yama

Gao Yang transmigrates to Great Qian and finds himself a condemned prisoner about to be beheaded as a sacrifice to rally the troops.

At that moment, barbarian forces surround the city, and Empress Xiao Qingxue is so desperate that she is about to take her own life.

To stay alive, Gao Yang shouts, “Your Majesty! I have a plan to drive back a million enemy troops!”

The empress says, “Speak!”

Gao Yang says, “Breach the dam above the imperial tombs and send the Yellow River flooding downstream. It will drown a hundred thousand people and destroy the late emperor’s mausoleum, but the enemy will be wiped out and the imperial city saved!”

The empress says, “That is a monstrous plan that will leave no survivors. If I do this, my name will stink for ten thousand years!”

Gao Yang says, “After the kingdom falls, your people will become two-legged sheep. Let a hundred thousand die to save ten million. If Your Majesty refuses, we all die!”

The empress grits her teeth and agrees.

The flood sweeps through, the barbarians are annihilated, and the whole world is stunned.

But this is only the beginning.

Short on food? Gao Yang points at the barbarian corpses scattered everywhere. “Dry them out and add salt. They’re edible.”

With one appalling scheme after another, Gao Yang forces the weakened Great Qian onto the throne of world supremacy.

Years later, as every nation comes to pay tribute, the pregnant empress looks at Gao Yang beside her and asks:

“Husband, no one in the world dares challenge Great Qian anymore. Can you stop now?”

Gao Yang smiles faintly. “Your Majesty, I hear there’s still a Roman Empire in the far west…”

The ministers collapse in despair. “Lord Yama, please shut up! You’re going to kill your way across the entire planet!”
