Great Qin: My Best Friend Is the First Emperor

I crossed through time and became an immortal guardian. Amid the smoke and flames of war in the Warring States period of a parallel universe, I was Ying Zheng’s childhood friend, trading wheat cakes with him in the streets of Handan. I was the hand that delivered crucial intelligence from the shadows as he unified the six kingdoms, and the remonstrating minister who alone dared to condemn his folly as an “immortal” when he became obsessed with eternal life. The Great Qin must not fall after just two reigns! Nor should it remain confined to the East! As history’s wheels roll toward the abyss I foresaw, the Civilization Ascension System in my mind finally activates. Mohist mechanical ingenuity resonates with the first steam engine, and the first flintlock rifles are deployed alongside the Qin crossbow formations. The Great Wall will be only the starting point of our expedition. We will strike north against the Xiongnu and break through the Western Regions. The empire’s iron cavalry and sails will sweep across lands that have never even been named. When the star map in Xianyang Palace encompasses all seven continents, and the map of Earth is marked in a single language for the first time, I stand atop the First Emperor’s mausoleum and smile at the generations of successors behind me. “Look, Your Majesty. This is what we agreed on back then: wherever the sun and moon shine, it shall all be Qin territory!”
