A Photographer's Ultraman Journey

[Everyday life + a touch of literary flair + defense force + Showa-era style + the spirit of Ultraman]

“You hide behind your camera. You have no idea what ‘belonging’ means! You'll always be nothing but an observer!”

Three years ago, a close friend's harsh words drove documentary photographer Lin Ye to exile himself.

With his camera on his back, he traveled across mountains and rivers, launching the “Tracing” project. Using pure rationality and his lens, he tried to break down the answer to what people called “bonds.”

Until one day, the bizarre arrived and the city collapsed.

Amid the chaos, as everyone fled in terror, Lin Ye remained where he was, calmly pushing up his glasses.

Only this time, what he took out wasn't a viewfinder, but a pair of red Ultra Glasses.
