Ultraman: The Guide to a New Frontier

[Pretty much invincible + everyday tokusatsu life + dad life + behind-the-scenes power plays + ensemble cast + defense force + merged universes + a little feel-good action with an artistic touch + the spirit of Ultraman]

“I’m Zhang Jie, deputy chief of staff at TPC. Oh, right, the whole world knows me by another name: Ultraman Tiga.”

In 2036, eight years after the Final Battle, humanity has set its sights on Mars, while the Giant of Light who once saved the world stands at the podium of Sakuraoka School with a bottle of Guojiao iced tea.

These days, fighting monsters is the least of my worries. There’s something else giving me a much bigger headache:

My seven-year-old twins are completely ordinary humans with no superpowers, yet a bunch of schemers see them as easy prey.

“Listen carefully. My children are ordinary kids. They don’t need to save the world. From now on, they absolutely must be able to express their thoughts clearly, freely, and without embarrassment in front of other people.”

The seemingly peaceful school is rife with undercurrents.

The kindergarten principal looks like the head of the Yakuza, but is actually a crybaby?

The wandering warrior Gai Kurenai is always playing his harmonica and trying to sneak into the bathhouse?

That hothead Shin Asuka has crashed again?

And the emperor who calls himself the “Lord of Silence” is spying from the edge of the universe?

When the villains come after my children, and the shadow of the “F Plan” once again falls over TPC...

Zhang Jie silently pulls out his Spark Lens.
