Joining the Army: A Midnight Fight? The Strong Little One Smashes the Bed to Save Her Mother

Three-year-old Lu Jiujiu followed her beautiful mother to the far northwest with the army.

She heard that her father was the “living King of Hell” stationed at the border: cold-blooded, chaste, and icy-faced. Even the dogs in the residential compound got slapped twice if they passed him by.

Everyone was waiting to see the delicate mother and daughter get so frightened they'd buy standing-room tickets and flee in the middle of the night.

But instead

By day, Lu Jiujiu rode on the “living King of Hell's” shoulders and ran wild, waving her little hand. “Daddy, beat him up!”

That battle-hardened man, feared by all, would turn around and make formula and wash diapers for his daughter.

At night, Lu Jiujiu listened to the wooden bed next door creak all night long. The next day, she innocently asked, “Daddy, were you fighting with Mommy last night? Her voice is hoarse.”
