(Three-altar Sea-meeting Great Deity BG) (Investiture of the Gods + Journey to the West setting)
(Two powerful leads + mutual redemption + rekindled love) (Everyone is clever)
(PS: This is a fanfic, and my writing is limited, so there may be some OOC. Feedback is welcome, but please don't flame me if it's not your thing. Thank you!)
[During the Investiture of the Gods, she was his one exception. On the Journey to the West, he became her greatest tribulation.]
Qing Li, the incarnation of an ancient primordial Green Lotus, once stood as an equal to Yunxiao and could determine the fate of the world with a single thought.
On the battlefield of the Investiture of the Gods, she broke the rules and defied fate for Nezha, a fiery, rebellious boy.
In the end, however, she turned poisoned words into a blade with her own hands, severed their bond, and made him hate her to the bone.
A thousand years later, the Journey to the West begins.
She is the mysterious, taciturn “Lady Qingjue” of White Tiger Ridge, hidden behind the scenes as she plots the fate of all living things.
He is the “Three-altar Sea-meeting Great Deity” of the Heavenly Court, who accepts orders but not summons, cold-hearted and detached, tasked with eliminating demons.
When they meet again, his Fire-Tipped Spear points at her throat. His voice is colder than Kunlun snow. “Demon, today we settle our old score.”
She thinks she has everything under control.
Until the secret contingency she left for him is exposed beneath Flaming Mountain, and she nearly fades from existence;
Until, before Lion-Camel Ridge, he tears up the Heavenly Court's decree and shields her with his own body from countless bolts of lightning, roaring, “Back then... why?!”
Later, all three realms know the truth:
Nezha, who once carved out his bones to return them to his father and wreaked havoc in the sea, burned the divine title bestowed upon him for his blessings, rebelled against the Heavenly Court, and stormed Mount Lingshan for the sake of a “sinful immortal.”
He locks the battered woman in his arms and laughs with wild, reckless abandon beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddhas:
“Rules? Fate? I don't care. I'll have what I want!”
This is a very, very good torture novel, (very suitable for a knife lover like me). In short, it is very suitable for my taste. The knives are very, very, very delicious (I haven't had such a good knife for a long time). Finally, the author has to give it a thumbs up!
Not bad, sweet yet sharp
