The Elegant Scholar Steals the Show in The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber

A modern keyboard warrior transmigrates into Wudang disciple Song Qingshu, with the complete script of The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber in hand from the start. He vows to overturn his miserable fate in the original story, snatch all of Zhang Wuji's opportunities, win the beauties from the book, and live a carefree, unrestrained life!

He lays his plans well in advance, crafting a tailor-made “safe and mediocre” growth plan for Zhang Wuji, keeping the man who should have been the chosen one far from the threat of cold poison and away from secret-realm adventures, so he can live quietly as an ordinary Wudang disciple. Meanwhile, Song Qingshu takes full advantage of his golden finger, winning Zhou Zhiruo's heart with a flirtatious line by the Han River: “Miss, are you the lost pearl of the Han River?” He reaches the sheer cliffs of Kunlun first and retrieves the Nine Yang Manual from the white ape's belly, deciphers the Persian writing in the secret passage beneath Bright Summit and claims the Great Shift, then unexpectedly digs the lost art Eighteen Dragon-Subduing Palms out of the Heaven-Reliant Sword.

He borrows courtship tricks from several classic novels, but puts his own spin on them: modern, cheesy pickup lines make Zhu Jiuzhen's heart flutter; warmth and care melt Yang Buhui's girlish worries; he cleverly frees Xiaozhao from her ankle chain and wins her devotion; he outwits Zhao Min at Green Willow Manor; and, at Butterfly Valley, he reunites with Yin Li and takes her hand. Surrounded by beautiful women, he knows where to draw the line and when to advance or retreat, turning jealous rivalries into tender affection. With his modern knowledge, he also reforms Wudang, unifies the Ming Order, and devises a plan to resist the Yuan, gradually transforming from a Wudang disciple into the leader of the martial world.

While Zhang Wuji lives peacefully on Wudang Mountain, Song Qingshu has already gathered his beloveds and mastered peerless martial arts, stirring up the martial world. In the end, he abandons the heights of court life and settles in the secluded paradise of Peach Blossom Island, writing a romantic legend of the Heaven-Reliant Sword and Dragon-Slaying Saber era that belongs to a transmigrator.
