Corporate Drone in Journey to the West: My Client Is Wu Cheng'en

Li Xiaochuan, a modern office drone worn down by the 996 work culture, was taking a break at the Flower-Fruit Mountain scenic area in Lianyungang when he unexpectedly transmigrated to the Ming dynasty. There he met the down-and-out scholar Wu Cheng'en, who had yet to write Journey to the West. By a twist of fate, the two were drawn into a “living” world of Journey to the West mythology, one capable of generating new stories on its own. To survive and find their way home, these “brothers in adversity” from different eras must rely on Li Xiaochuan’s “plot walkthrough” and Wu Cheng'en’s gradually awakening “author privileges” as they struggle through the familiar yet uncontrollable Eighty-One Tribulations, slowly uncovering the astonishing truth behind this eerie world.
