The Wealth-Goddess of Dream of the Red Chamber: My Rules Are the Rules

Lin Jinglan's daily life after transmigrating as Daiyu's older sister:

In the morning, she takes on Lady Wang: “Madam, I get two taels a month, yet I spend a thousand taels a month supporting the Xiaoxiang Pavilion. So who exactly is taking advantage of whom?”

At noon, she teaches Tanchun: “Why learn how to scheme against people at home? Learn accounting! The Jia family brings in eighty thousand a year and spends a hundred thousand. That's the real crisis.”

In the afternoon, she teases Baoyu: “Brother Baoyu, the betrothal gifts alone cost five thousand taels. You get two taels a month. Will you have saved enough by the time you're eighty?”

At night, she comforts Daiyu: “Don't be afraid, Yuer. Your sister has money. When the Jia family falls, we'll build ourselves an even better home.”

Later

Wang Xifeng becomes her number-one fan: “Little sister, take a look at my ledger for me!”

The Princess Consort of Beijing becomes her VVVIP: “Jinglan, save me another ten jars of that beauty cream!”

Even Yuanchun in the palace sends word through someone: “Sister, teach me how to make money!”

Lady Wang is so furious she faints: “Who on earth is in charge of this household?!”

Lin Jinglan smiles sweetly. “Whoever has the money is in charge.”
