Silver Moon Lullaby

Synopsis of The Silver Moon Nursery Rhyme

Chen Ye, a down-on-his-luck folk song collector, braves the snow to enter Moon Mountain in search of half a score for the "Moon-Worshiping Ballad" left behind by his grandfather. The nursery rhyme is forbidden in Xia Family Village. Sung by the "Child of the Mountain God," it drives everyone who hears it mad or leaves them dead.

At the Mountain God Temple, Chen Ye encounters a blind child holding a bamboo flute with a broken corner. The child's deathly pale face and bloodied fingertips send a chill down his spine. Bamboo flutes just like it are stuck in the chests of the scattered skeletons in the snow, and the child bluntly tells him that anyone who has the score must stay and sing along.

As Chen Ye is trapped and horrified, his grandfather's voice suddenly comes from his recorder. A bloody story buried for thirty years is quietly rising to the surface.
