There Are Trees in the South: Do You Know, Do You Know?

Gu Nanqiao is a celebrated author of stories about women falling in love with women. She has written countless romances, but in real life, she’s a total coward.

A blind date that felt like a Hongmen Banquet brought her face-to-face with the name she’d dreamed about for years: Ye Zhifou.

Never go on a blind date with your “moonlight,” especially after she’s had a complete makeover and comeback!

The good news: My date is a gorgeous, top-tier beauty, and a CEO worth billions.

The bad news: She looks like my first love, “Little Chubby,” who vanished six years ago.

The even worse news: She seems to have come back for “revenge.” (Correction: to repay a debt of gratitude.)

Scene One:

Gu Nanqiao’s mother complains that she’ll never get married.

Ye Zhifou immediately pulls out a property deed and her salary card. “Auntie, will these be enough for the bride price?”

Gu’s mom: !!! (Eyes bulging in shock.)

Scene Two:

On the bus, strangers point at Gu Nanqiao and whisper.

Ye Zhifou’s aura turns icy. She sweeps the crowd with a cold glance. “Keep staring and I’ll gouge your eyes out.”

Everyone on the bus: ... (Shaking with fear.)

Scene Three:

Gu Nanqiao thinks Ye Zhifou is an aloof beauty and is too intimidated to approach her.

But the moment they get home and shut the door, Ye Zhifou turns into a clingy sweetheart. “Sis, give me a hug~”

Gu Nanqiao: ... What happened to your domineering CEO persona? It’s completely gone!
