The Divine Physician on the Road to Power: Starting at a Township Clinic

Born into a family of practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, he is the grandson of a renowned rural doctor from the Republican era. His father died young. After graduating from medical school, he refused to let his advisor, a powerful medical academic, steal his research, so the man used his connections to have him sent to the most remote village of Lianhua. Mild-mannered on the outside but firm within, he appears to be a gracious gentleman, yet harbors the heart of a tiger. He lives by the principles, “A doctor doesn't knock on doors, and the Dao isn't passed on lightly.” But when the moment calls for it, he can act with thunderous force: he can heal the sick and save the dying, or scheme and strike with ruthless precision.
