The Outcast: A Carefree Life in the Mortal World

In the spring of 2015, strange phenomena erupted in a forbidden area behind Mount Longhu.

Celestial Master Zhang Zhiwei opened a cave door sealed for a hundred years. Facing the young man on the stone platform, whose appearance had not changed at all, he bowed respectfully. “Welcome back, Uncle-Master Qingyao.”

A hundred years was a long time. Long enough for his son to turn to dust, and for his grandson to vanish without a trace. All that remained was a great-grandson named Zhang Chulan, currently being hounded by the entire world of Outsiders.

With the two divine abilities of “All Things as One” and “Mastery of the Six Energies,” this elder with an absurdly high rank in the family had planned to quietly enjoy life as a modern-day gamer.

Until

The Quanxing sect dug up his son's grave.

The Tianxia Association tried to recruit his great-grandson.

The secrets of the Eight Extraordinary Skills came to light.

A hidden hand quietly began to set its plans in motion.

Zhang Qingyao set down his controller and sighed.

“Fine. Time to stretch my legs.”

As the truth behind the Jiashen Rebellion slowly came to light, as Feng Baobao's origins were revealed, and as every faction turned its attention to Zhang Chulan

Zhang Qingyao stretched and stepped in front of his great-grandson.

“Want to touch him?”

He smiled warmly, and the world behind him lost its color.

“Ask these old bones, asleep for a hundred years, if they'll allow it.”

This is a story of protection spanning a century, and the travels through the mortal world of a carefree wanderer.

When ancient Daoist realms meet the dazzling modern world, and a lazy ancestor meets his sharp-witted great-grandson

The world of Outsiders is about to be rewritten.
