Urban Future: I Have a Brain-Computer Interface

[Sci-Fi] [Future World] [Wild Imagination] [Mind Games] [Cool-Headed] [Passionate] [Leveling Up]

I transmigrated to a cyberpunk age where companies monopolize skills, and became the lowliest bartender in a bar.

The interface in the back of my head downloads recipes every day, and when I quit, it’s supposed to wipe them all with a single click.

Until the day my boss came in person to reclaim my skills.

System Alert: [Skill deletion failed... Unknown encryption protocol detected... Insufficient permissions.]

He had no idea I had a dual consciousness. My outer consciousness follows every instruction, while my inner consciousness is silently recording, learning, and cracking the skill locks that bind this entire world.

From smuggling forbidden arts through the black market to playing a deadly game of chess against the surveillance AI; from exposing the bloody truth behind “emotion batteries” to confronting the arrogance of cloud-based immortals.

They see me as a system glitch and call me the “Urban Ghost.”

But all I want is to steal a final recipe called “freedom” for every consciousness held captive.
