From Slave to Pirate King: My Power Is to Pause Time

Xia Tian, a modern young man who dropped dead after working 996 hours, transmigrates into the most dangerous waters of the New World in the One Piece world: the “Devil's Triangle,” where the remnants of the Rocks Pirates hold sway. Penniless and unable to speak the language, he is sold as a slave from the start. On the execution platform, he awakens the Stop-Stop Fruit. By stopping the executioner's movements, he begins his climb out of hell.

He has no intention of retracing Luffy's journey. He will forge his own path: founding the Wings of Freedom Pirates and recruiting the oddballs abandoned by the world, using a modern mindset to upend the rules of piracy. First he stops blades, then the activation of Devil Fruit powers, then the flow of Haki, and finally the “rules” governing the entire sea.

When the Five Elders roar in fury at Pangaea Castle, “That Xia Tian again!” When Akainu's magma fist inexplicably freezes before it can strike, when Blackbeard fails to activate his Dark-Dark Fruit, Xia Tian merely smiles and says, “Stop.”

This isn't a story about becoming king. It's a story about changing the world. Making up for Ace's death? Saving Whitebeard? That's only the beginning. He will make the smiles of slaves spread across the four seas and make the Celestial Dragons tremble to their very bones.

“I'm not here to become King of the Pirates,” Xia Tian says, standing amid the ruins of Mary Geoise. “I'm here to tell this world: it's time for all of you to stop.”
