After graduating, Chen Yuanzheng is assigned to a mysterious organization: the National Dragon Vein Exploration Bureau.

While his classmates design CBDs, his task is to plan, in just three months, a high-speed railway through the western region that will connect the dragon veins of the Kunlun Mountains!

While his classmates calculate the load-bearing capacity of buildings, Chen Yuanzheng stands in the Gobi Desert with one hand pressed against the earth, listening to the “dragon’s roar” from a thousand meters below. Using the mountains as his foundation and the rivers as his lines, he redraws the course of the Dragon Kingdom’s destiny!

Hostile forces overseas use dark magic to lay the “Eight Gates Locking Gold” formation, hoping to trap the Eastern Dragon forever. The commander-in-chief claps Chen Yuanzheng on the shoulder and points to a map of the country. “Xiao Chen, you have an unlimited budget and our full support! Use our roads, our bridges, our mega-projects to smash through and open up a bright new world!”

In the name of engineer Chen Yuanzheng, he will lay the foundations for the nation’s destiny…
