I Went Undercover as the Eldest Disciple at Fangcun Mountain

I, Lin Xiao, died suddenly after staying up all night writing my thesis, only to be transported into the body of the least remarkable chief disciple under Patriarch Bodhi. I thought I could coast my way to immortality, but the System gave me a hell-level mission: “Stop Sun Wukong from being sealed beneath Five Elements Mountain. Failure will mean the annihilation of your soul.” Looking at the golden-furred little monkey before me, scratching his head and calling, “Senior Brother, Senior Brother, I want to learn how to fly,” my vision went dark. At this point, the monkey hasn't wreaked havoc in the Underworld, stolen the immortal peaches, or kicked over Laozi's furnace. But eyes both in Heaven and on Earth are already fixed on him.
