Senior Brother of the Jie Sect: I Clash with the Eastern Emperor Bell from the Start

Zhao Gongming transmigrates into the Primordial World and discovers that he has become the cannon-fodder senior brother of the Jie Sect from Investiture of the Gods, the one who gets beaten to death with a whip and whose soul is placed on the Investiture of the Gods.

His three younger sisters are still undergoing their tribulations when heavenly lightning crashes down, and the System makes him choose:

[One: Turn tail and run. Reward: the title “Heir to the Way of Survival”]

[Two: Curse the heavens on the spot. Reward: the “King of Trash Talk” aura]

[Three: Charge into the lightning tribulation. Reward: Nine-Turn Profound Art + Chaos Demon God blood essence]

Zhao Gongming tears up his cannon-fodder script. “I choose three! In this life, every member of the Jie Sect will survive, and I’ll make the Three Xiao Saints!”

And so

He devours Pangu's blood essence and practices the Nine-Turn Profound Art, bringing his lineage close to that of the Three Pure Ones;

He seizes the Sea-Calming Divine Pearls and refines the Hongmeng Measuring Heaven Ruler, sweeping through the Demon Clan's Heavenly Court single-handedly;

He blocks Buzhou Mountain and stands against the Eastern Emperor Bell, then sneers at Tai Yi: “This road is closed!”

Sect Master Tongtian silently puts away his sword. “Gongming, you, the senior brother... can fight even better than your master.”

Primordial Heavenly Venerable frowns as he calculates. “Why does this one's lineage seem even more like the Pangu Orthodox Lineage than ours?”

Zhunti takes one look from afar and turns to leave. “This person has no affinity with my Western Teachings... He's too tough. I can't convert him.”

Later, when the Investiture of the Gods calamity begins, Zhao Gongming stands guard at the South Heaven Gate with Thirty-Six Sea-Calming Divine Pearls in hand:

“Anyone who lays a hand on even one member of my Jie Sect, I'll smash their divine throne!”

“In this life, my Jie Sect will never fall, and I’ll decide who rules the Heavenly Court!”
