You Were Supposed to Study Archaeology, So Why Did You Empty the Imperial Tomb?

With the national treasury running dry, the court established the Antiquities Bureau, supposedly to survey historic sites, but in reality a state-run tomb-raiding agency. Lu Yuan, a poor student at the Imperial College, unexpectedly activated the [Life Script] System, which let him see the attributes of anything and other people’s fates. With this golden finger, he joined the Antiquities Bureau and rose through the ranks. Underground, he solved thousand-year-old deadly traps, outsmarted others to claim peerless treasures, and battled demons and ghosts. At court, he read people’s hearts, forged alliances, thwarted his political enemies’ schemes, and steadily climbed the ladder. Moving between the bureaucracy and ancient tombs, Lu Yuan used the treasures he found to fill the national treasury and lost arts to strengthen the nation. He gradually grew from a mere pawn into the player moving the pieces, ultimately uncovering a shocking secret tied to the fate of the dynasty and gaining power over all under Heaven.
