A Marriage of Sweetness: The Young Master's Contract Wife

Lu Tingchen, heir to one of City A’s most powerful families, is the business world’s dreaded “Cold-Faced King of Hell.” Yet on a stormy night, he offers an ordinary college student, Su Wanwan, a marriage contract: three years of marriage in exchange for the astronomical cost of her younger brother’s leukemia surgery.

To save her only family, Su Wanwan signs the unfair agreement and steps out of her impoverished campus life into the luxurious but frigid world of the wealthy. She thinks it’s merely a transaction in which each gets what they need, but married life defies all her expectations. The seemingly cold Lu Tingchen fiercely stands up for his wife when socialites mock her, quietly comes to her rescue when she’s in trouble, and even dotes on her until she’s the center of everyone’s attention.

Beneath the contract, suspicion and probing go hand in hand, while conspiracies and danger lurk in the shadows. As his childhood sweetheart and first love closes in, family secrets gradually come to light, and feelings begin to blossom in this marriage that began with the promise of love after marriage, their relationship has long since veered off its planned course.

Only then does Su Wanwan realize that a shocking twist lies behind Lu Tingchen’s choice of her, and that she has already fallen into his gentle trap without even noticing. She faces down her gold-digging ex, tears apart the vicious female rival, and unlocks the beloved-by-everyone buff. This roller-coaster marriage of convenience will ultimately blossom into a moving love story amid suspicion and devotion.
