A Love Triangle From the Start, and They Actually Want Me to Marry a Fool

Su Man, a top military doctor, transmigrates and wakes up as an unlucky educated youth in the 1970s. Her stepmother drugged her, and now she’s pregnant out of wedlock.

Her stepmother wants to sell her to the village chief’s intellectually disabled son for the bride price. Meanwhile, in those times, “illicit relations between men and women” could get her thrown into a pig cage and drowned.

Su Man places a hand on her belly and gives a cold laugh. “You want me dead? Dream on!”

She quickly uses the supplies in her personal space to nurse herself back to health, then heads straight to Jiang Ye, the village thug everyone fears.

They say this man gets into fights and causes trouble wherever he goes?

Su Man corners him against a wall. Her eyes are slightly red, but her voice is firm. “I’m carrying your baby. Either we get married, or we both die. You choose!”

Jiang Ye looks at the bold, pampered girl in front of him and stubs out his cigarette. “Fine. I’ll take responsibility.”

The whole village waits to see Su Man get tortured to death by the local bully.

But then…
