A Rabbit Fairy Descends to the Mortal Realm: Zhang Yunlei, Why Is Your Heart Beating So Fast?

I’m the Jade Rabbit from the Moon Palace, and my name is Put Qing.

Because I couldn’t understand why Chang’e was so heartbroken over love, the Matchmaker kicked me down to the mortal realm to experience romance for myself.

But my luck was terrible: I crashed straight through the roof of top-tier star Zhang Yunlei’s Rose Garden.

He stared at me, suspicion and surprise in his eyes. “Who are you?”

Holding my head, I answered honestly: “I’m the Jade Rabbit from the Moon Palace.”

The whole place fell silent. Everyone thought I’d hit my head in the fall.

Only he knew something was off. A light touch from me had healed the leg injury that had plagued him for years.

From then on, the Deyun Society had a naive little fairy who seemed untouched by worldly concerns.

She was so innocent she didn’t know that the grapes she casually offered could make someone’s heart melt.

She had no idea that unconsciously moving closer could make a certain top-tier star’s heart race out of control.

They doted on me, taught me about the everyday joys of life, and took me to try all kinds of delicious food.

Only Zhang Yunlei was torn between keeping a close watch so my “fairy aura” wouldn’t show and being unable to stop protecting me.

When his old injury flared up and the pain became unbearable, I used what little immortal power I had to ease it.

When he hit a creative block late at night, I stayed with him through every sunrise and sunset.

I thought I understood mortal love, just like in Sister Chang’e’s story.

Until one day, he clasped my hand tightly, his eyes reddening and his voice hoarse.

“Xiao Qing, stop ‘healing’ people so casually. My heart’s about to beat itself crazy for you.”

His heart pounded like a war drum. Put Qing, finally understanding love, gazed at the bright moon in the night sky and gently replied:

“Sister Chang’e, I think I understand now...”

“So ‘a heart aching beneath the blue sea and azure sky, night after night’ isn’t about regret.”

“It’s because that person is worth it.”
