The Legend of Qin: Shu He Becomes Empress

A wealthy modern-day family transmigrates to the Qin Dynasty, protects the young First Emperor as he grows up, and ultimately becomes the one and only love of the emperor who will reign through the ages!

A carefully planned car crash claims the lives of business tycoon Ruan Ming, medical doctor Lin Wan, and their daughter, Ruan Shuhe. When they open their eyes again, they have transmigrated to Handan in Zhao, at the end of the Warring States period, where they find themselves lowly servants in the household of Zichu, a Qin hostage also known as Yiren.

At this time, the future First Emperor of Qin, Ying Zheng, is only three years old. Held hostage in Zhao, he suffers bullying and disdain. Drawing on their modern knowledge and knowledge of history, the three members of the Ruan family distinguish themselves during Lü Buwei's planned escape from Handan, successfully protecting Zichu and Ying Zheng on their journey back to Qin.

From then on, Ruan Shuhe's father, a history professor, becomes Ying Zheng's first teacher, incorporating modern management ideas into the art of ruling. Her mother, a psychologist, gives the young Ying Zheng the warmth and emotional support he has been missing. And Ruan Shuhe, clever, bright, and full of mischief, becomes Ying Zheng's most special playmate and “little teacher.”

From Handan to Xianyang, from hostage to King of Qin, from taking power to unifying all under heaven, Ruan Shuhe stays by his side. She is both his confidante and his most capable ally. The lonely, suspicious emperor has long since entrusted all his trust and tenderness to her alone.

“Shuhe, in all the world, you alone understand my heart.”

“Your Majesty, I will spend my life protecting you and helping you achieve an empire that will last through the ages.”
