The Mechanical Church

After the Mechanical War ended, self-repairing machines still ran rampant across the wasteland. Su Rui, a “mechanical hunter,” hated machines with a vengeance because his parents had died in the war. During a mission, he captured Xiao Qi, a small service robot with the mind of a child. Its innocence and kindness unexpectedly shook his resolve to seek revenge. Meanwhile, behind the frequent machine uprisings, the shadow of the Mechanical Cult began to emerge. They sought to resurrect the mechanical overlord Apocalypse and restart the war. To stop the world-ending crisis, Su Rui was forced to work with Xiao Qi, relying on its sensitivity to mechanical networks to track the cult. Along the way, Su Rui gradually realized that machines were not born evil: they were merely victims of war.
