The Mind-Reading Movie Star: The Only One in Showbiz Who Isn't Acting

The entertainment industry is rife with hypocrisy and scheming. After an accident gives top-tier star Li Tingye the ability to read minds, he sees through everyone’s pretenses and grows distant and indifferent toward acting and relationships. That changes when he meets newcomer Lu Shiqing. She avoids rivalry and publicity stunts, focuses on honing her acting skills, and treats people with genuine candor. Her thoughts are so pure that Li Tingye cannot read them, and her uniqueness gradually lowers his guard.

Su Manni joins forces with Lin Weiwei to scheme against Lu Shiqing, hoping to seize roles and win Li Tingye. They fabricate scandals, accusing her of trading favors for roles and acting like a diva. Gu Yanchen, however, always believes in Lu Shiqing. He gives her excellent scripts and helps her silence the doubters. Li Tingye uses his mind-reading ability to expose the schemes and quietly clear obstacles from Lu Shiqing’s path. As they work together on a production, they fall for each other, moving from mutual suspicion to trust.

In the end, Lu Shiqing wins the Best Actress award through her own talent, and Li Tingye makes their relationship public. They challenge the entertainment industry’s culture of pretense, proving that being genuine can bring success and true love. The villains, meanwhile, pay the price for their schemes.
