The Owl Rises from the Green Earth: Dancing Blades

[Fan Fiction]

Beneath the earth of Qing Rang, a thousand-year blood pact begins to unravel. The Mad Blade and the Hidden Blade join forces to defy the cycle of fate.

By day, Nie Jiuluo is a sculptor whose craftsmanship is second to none. By night, she wields the “Mad Blade” and hunts the Digu.

Yan Tuo appears to be a fallen young master who has bowed to his enemies and lost his family fortune. In truth, he is a lone wolf who has lain low for years, waiting for the right moment to strike.

A hunt brings Nie Jiuluo’s blade against Lu Zhao, an heir to the “Hidden Blade” whose style is utterly different from hers, though they are both hunters. Under a common goal, misunderstanding and hostility give way to the unspoken trust of comrades in arms.

An investigation brings Nie Jiuluo together with Su Qing, a researcher with a unique gift for empathy. His eyes can see through painful memories, yet the only heart he longs to understand is hers, hidden beneath its icy shell.

Trapped in a mine, on the edge of the Black-and-White Ravine, the four are forced into an alliance:

· Nie Jiuluo’s fierce Mad Blade and Su Qing’s tender empathy intertwine on the brink of life and death. In the end, warm feelings seep into the hard lines of her sculptures.

· Yan Tuo’s patience and cunning and Lu Zhao’s ingenious mechanisms become shadows and light for one another in the darkness. The sincerity beneath their act is tempered into something real through one life-or-death trust after another.

When Digu leader Lin Xirou tears through a thousand-year-old boundary, intent on devouring the human world with countless Digu, the final battle will be fought on Qing Rang.

The bloodline of the Mad Blade awakens in full. The Hidden Blade lays a deadly trap, empathy strikes at the heart of the enemy, and patient cunning strikes at the foundation.

This is not only a battle for the survival of their kind. It is also a search for a new answer, as they break the cycle of hatred for themselves and for the future.

Can a thousand years of enmity finally end on Qing Rang? And where will two unconventional romances find their place amid blood and fire?
