Demon Trial: The Magician's Black-and-White Mask

[Magical Girl Witch Trial fan fiction + ensemble cast + horror + Lovecraftian] On a hidden prison island, girls deemed to have dangerously high “witch factors” wear numbered tags and live in a decaying Gothic mansion. They are forced to take part in cruel trials that begin with the word “Witch.” Ye Ming Moyuan, a magician who can use “role-playing” magic to imitate anything, willingly enters the prison. Wearing a mask that is white on the left and black on the right, she walks the line between reason and madness: the mask’s white side anchors her humanity, while its black side links to the power of an indescribable abyss. Yet the prison island is only a facade. When the crimson sky tears reality apart and the Sun of a Thousand Eyes throbs in the Otherworld, Moyuan discovers that the island is a rift through which an ancient god’s dream is eroding reality. The whispers of the silver-haired girl on the throne, the price borne by the nun Bing Shang Meilu, the truth reflected in the prison warden’s owl-like pupils... Every clue points to a conspiracy spanning a thousand years. “Do not understand. Do not believe. Do not forget your name.” But when she stains her mask completely black to save others, sacrificing reason for power, who is the true “witch” in this trial? When the magician raises the curtain on the final act herself, the audience finally realizes: everyone is an actor, and beneath the stage, the abyss is opening its eyes.
