Oh No, I Refined Zombies into Golden Merit Light

My name is Zhang Xiaohei, and I'm an ordinary disciple of the Heavenly Demon Sect.

My greatest passion in life is refining souls.

One day, while out on a trial, I accidentally fell into a world full of walking corpses.

Oh no, now there are no living people for me to refine!

As I was worrying about it, a horde of zombies surrounded me.

Well, I guess the dead will have to do.

I brought out the assembly-line magic artifact issued by the sect, the Banner of Ten Thousand Souls.

"Little demon banner, refine them for me!"

But the next moment, the universe roared, and golden beams of karmic merit descended from the heavens!

My mediocre demonic artifact had turned into the merit-blessed treasure, the "Human Emperor Banner"?

The wasteland's survivors fell to their knees and cried, "A god has descended!"

Wait, stop worshipping me!

I'm really not some savior!

I'm just a demonic cultivator trying to meet the sect's KPIs!

Please, just let me be a quiet villain!
