Winning Every Step: Ruoxi and Shilan Slay Their Way Through the Qing Palace

A satisfying tale of revenge and rebirth starring two heroines. After Martai Ruoxi dies with hatred in her heart, her soul enters the body of Nian Shilan, the arrogant and domineering Consort Hua from Empresses in the Palace. After Nian Shilan is condemned to death, she is reborn as Martai Ruoxi from Scarlet Heart, a woman whose fate is not her own.

With the memories and deep-seated hatred of two lifetimes, Ruoxi (Nian Shilan) dismantles Zhen Huan's faction ahead of time in the world of Empresses in the Palace, outmaneuvers the empress and Yongzheng, and uses the Nian family's power to take control of the harem and influence the court, overturning the ending in which Consort Hua dies horribly. Meanwhile, Nian Shilan (Ruoxi), in the world of Scarlet Heart, sees through the conspiracy surrounding the struggle for the throne, drives wedges between the princes' factions, refuses to become a pawn of imperial power, and joins forces with the Fourteenth Prince to change her fate.

Though they live in different eras, the two women echo each other across time through their shared desire for revenge. With ruthless schemes, they tear apart the hypocritical rites of the Qing court, carefully navigating its treacherous power struggles. In the end, they break free from the chains of fate and write a legend of their own: conquering the entire Qing palace.
