I'm Just a Funeral Agent, Yet the Supernatural Beg Me to Arrange Funerals

I inherited my family's funeral parlor just as it was on the verge of closing. I thought my life had hit rock bottom, until one rainy night, an old water ghost showed up and asked me to arrange a funeral celebration where no living person was allowed.

After I saw her off, the funeral money in my pocket turned into a water-repelling pearl that let me breathe underwater.

That's when I realized the battered notebook my grandfather left behind was real!

A headless officer asked me to find his head, offering a Demon-Slaying Coin that could cut down evil spirits as payment. A desperate mother-and-son pair of vengeful spirits sought justice, so I ruined the unfaithful husband's reputation at a charity gala... Business at the Afterlife Hall took off overnight.

My clients were just a little unusual: zombies, hanged ghosts, century-old seductress spirits... They came bearing underworld banknotes and antiques, asking me to see justice done.

I arranged funerals for ghosts and monsters, and they gave me cultivation methods and magical treasures in return. I went from a broke young man to the hottest funeral director in both the living and spirit worlds.

The beautiful captain of the Special Investigations Bureau came looking for me, her gaze sharp. “Who exactly are you?”

I looked at the thousand-year-old vengeful ghosts trembling behind her and spread my hands helplessly.

“You might not believe me, but I'm really just a guy who sells cemetery plots. Though now, I seem to have taken on the side job of keeping the balance between the living and the dead.”
