The Timekeeping Lady of the Clock Tower

The Timekeeping Lady Official of the Clock Tower

When modern technological ingenuity collides with a thousand years of palace laws.

Shen Shixu, an heir to a national legacy of ancient mechanical restoration, transmigrates overnight into the daughter of a disgraced Ministry of Works official. Confined to the inner palace, she is as vulnerable as a floating weed.

Within these vermilion walls, where danger lurks at every turn, time becomes her only weapon. The water clock, dull in everyone else's eyes, is her perfectly precise timepiece. The long-lost armillary sphere powered by water becomes her stepping stone to the seat of power. With her skill at manipulating the sun, moon, and stars, she rises from a lowly palace timekeeper to plunge into the treacherous whirlpool of court intrigue.

The Noble Consort frames her? She uses the flow rate of dripping water to overturn an ironclad alibi and clear her name before everyone!

A powerful minister plots against her? She cracks a sealed conspiracy case from twenty years ago with a mechanical cipher, shaking the entire court!

A palace coup erupts? She activates ancient defenses hidden beneath the imperial city for a century and turns the tide with the power of machinery!

Everyone wants to use her, control her, and treat her like a clever little toy. Only Prince Jing, Xiao Moyuan, who seems carefree and unserious, sees the extraordinary talent beneath her composed gaze. He offers her an alliance: “Miss Shen, dare you play this game of chess with me?”

Shen Shixu picks up the counting rods, symbols of time and order, her gaze unwavering:

“What I want has never been to bow my head in submission.”

“I want to reshape the world with the ingenuity of the crafts of creation!”

A legendary tale of an ancient official wielding futuristic technology, and an epic of political intrigue in which intelligence and reason carve a path through darkness.
