Against the Current: An Intruder in the Late Ming Dynasty

[A late Ming web series: Five unlucky souls livestream their transmigration] We’re five modern people: a history professor, a pair of top students, a genius student, and a campus beauty. The higher-dimensional “Pangu Producer” has thrown us into the late Ming to shoot a web series. We have one KPI: use ridiculous schemes to turn the historical timeline upside down. The Ming Dynasty’s “League of Absurdity” is rewriting history live. No suffering, no dragging things out. We’re here to fix every historical regret! And so the whole thing goes completely off the rails: • The professor transmigrates as the Chongzhen Emperor and uses performance reviews to crush the Donglin faction, then drives the Six Ministries’ officials insane with KPIs. • The two top students go undercover in Later Jin, acting like “loyal subjects” to Huang Taiji by day, then stuffing firecrackers down the collars of beile princes by night. • From the start, the genius student stumbles upon the Beiyang Fleet, secretly builds ironclad warships in the Bohai Gulf, and prepares to give the Manchu invaders a “shock and awe” lesson in sea power. • The campus beauty’s soul enters the body of Liu Rushi, and she forms the “People-Tearing Club” in Jiangnan to tear down hypocrites.
