A Late Return to Rest

[Secret love + angsty romance + the pain of youth + insecure heroine + campus romance + ex begs for another chance + heartbreaking drama] Lin Mu's youth was a grand, silent one-woman play. She was a quiet reef beneath the sea, while Gu Qichi was a scorching sun in the sky. She gazed up at the light in his world, letting her secret love run wild in her heart, only to bind it tight with the thorns of her own insecurity.

It took the words “I was only pitying you” to shatter all her illusions before she understood that some distances had nothing to do with how hard you tried.

Years later, when they met again, he asked her with red eyes, “Why won't you even give me a chance to get close?” She only smiled quietly. “Gu Qichi, look. At last, the dusk has found its home. It's just that this home was never me.”
