The Phoenix's Flame Burns the Heart

[Two Powerful Leads] [Black Turns Even Darker] [Revenge to the Extreme]

My most trusted brother shot me three times. I fell into a pool of blood on the dock.

A madman in a white coat crouched beside me under an umbrella and said he could save me.

The price: I had to become the knife in his hand.

Later, my logistics empire became his operating table.

He used a scalpel to cut into his business rivals' lifelines, and hemostats to clamp down on my festering past.

By day, we joined forces to wipe out our enemies. At night, we fought in bed until we drew blood.

Until one day, my enemy's scheme to drive a wedge between us brought the evidence to light:

He had approached me to avenge someone else.

I grabbed him by the throat and pinned him beneath the operating light.

"Shen Shubai, what happened to your medical ethics?"

He lifted his head and kissed my bloodstained fingers, smiling coldly.

"Lu Jin, my medical ethics... mean keeping you alive so you can hate me."

Two madmen who crawled out of hell build a cage together in this world.

Love is the only disease that kills with a single drop of blood. You and I are each other's cure.
